ISAM marked 1st August 2019 a red letter day with the inauguration of Astronomy Club.

The ceremony began with the singing of the prayer song by the school choir. This was followed by the Welcome Address by Mrs. Pinky Olivia Noronha, Coordinator, Science, Middle section. Mr. Jolly Mathews, President, SMC in his address to the gathering expressed his happiness that ISAM is coming up with novel ideas.
The Chief Guest of the day Dr. Saleh Said Hamed Al Shidhani, Chairman, National team for Capacity Building, Space Science and Technology, Sultan Qaboos University and Ex-President, Oman Astronomical Society took the students on a virtual tour of the universe and the milky way galaxy. The special features of the earth were also explained .
The students were awestruck with the presentation and asked several questions on Big Bang Theory, the Big Crunch, the existence of any life outside the universe and were amazed with the answers given by the Chief Guest.
The Principal of the school Mr. P.Prabakaran and Mr. Jolly Mathews, President, SMC honoured the Chief Guest with a shawl and memento, a token of respect and gratitude. Mrs.Neetu Chandran, HOD, Science Department, Primary proposed the Vote of Thanks. The inaugural ceremony came to an end with the singing of the School Anthem.
